Srushti Deshmukh began working on her UPSC entry in her 3rd year of her engineering degree. During her graduation, she questioned whether she could be happy in the engineering role. The answer became more clear after she began focusing on the civil service. Her parents encouraged her to go into civil service and pursue an opportunity to work in public service.
